The BLUE PORTS Certification Scheme is devoted to upskilling the port ecosystem human capital to accelerate ports’ green transition.

Fully aligned with the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard for the certification of persons, the Scheme is mutually recognised across national governmental and accreditation authorities in Europe under the European Accreditation Multilateral Agreement (EA MLA).

The Port Sustainability Scheme has been developed in close consultation with National Technical Committees in Greece, Italy, Spain and Georgia, bringing together key stakeholders from the entire value chain, including employers, employees, service operators, certification and training providers, competent authorities, and social partners.
